South Meck Band Classes and Concerts

Concert Attire

As part of their musical education and experience, our band classes perform at several concerts each year.   These concerts not only count as part of the students grade, but give them valuable experience performing in front of an audience.   While the number of concerts may vary from year to year, our band classes usually perform in a Winter Concert, a Spring Concert, and a Veterans' Day Concert.

For all 2009-2010 performances, students will be expected to dress as described below...

Ladies

Concert Band, Symphonic Band & Wind Symphony

• Concert Dress
  Ladies will wear a concert dress.   The dress must be ordered through the band director only.   Wind Symphony ladies have already ordered (Those who have already ordered please get your money into the band booster box ASAP).   Those females in Concert and Symphonic Band must have their order placed and money turned in on or before November 5th.   The cost of the dress is $56.00 and if paying by check please make your check payable to South Meck Band Boosters.
• Nude colored hose
• Black closed-toe shoes.   Heels or flats are acceptable.  
• Hair may be worn up or down, depending on individual preference.
• No dangling earrings please.
